Praises Olson’s Work as Advocate for Communities and Working Families

Gaithersburg, Md. – UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO, representing a contingent of Prince George’s County residents and employees in the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and in the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System, is endorsing Eric Olson for Prince George’s County’s District 3 County Council seat.

“Eric has been an outspoken advocate for working families in Prince George’s County and we are proud to endorse his candidacy,” said Local 1994 President Gino Renne. “We were particularly impressed with the role he took opposing the recent attempt to gerrymander the County in the redistricting efforts this past fall. He has shown a commitment to protecting our communities, our working families, and, especially, speaking up for the vulnerable and underserved in the County. We need more leaders like him.”

Renne pointed out that during his last stint on the Council Olson was a tested and proven champion for working families.

“We could count on Eric. He was always ready to help us protect and advance the interests of our members serving Prince George’s County residents,” said Renne.
