UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO is teaming up with Montgomery County’s Alcohol Beverage Services to raise funds for the March of Dimes and their fight to protect and promote maternal and infant health.

MCGEO Members Proudly Represent at the Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade
On Labor Day 2025, MCGEO members showed up in force at the Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade, with about 70 members proudly marching to represent our union. A big shout out goes to everyone who stepped up and made our presence known in the community we serve every day.
Special thanks to longtime Montgomery County Government member and steward Harry Shipe for providing the car that carried our banner forward.
Meanwhile, our brothers and sisters from R.E. Wilson and the Annapolis Bus Company joined the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County’s Labor Day picnic, invited in a powerful show of solidarity with the bus drivers and aides who recently called a strike vote.
It was truly rewarding to see our members standing tall—whether marching in Gaithersburg or standing with fellow workers in Anne Arundel County. This kind of member activism is what keeps our union strong, visible, and relevant. When we show up together, we remind the community—and ourselves—that MCGEO’s power comes from the people who make it all happen.
