Since these contested offices are dedicated to the Montgomery County Office Professional and Technical Bargaining Units, a revised election site list has been issued (see next page). Only active members of the Montgomery County Government Office Professional and Technical Bargaining Unit will be able to vote for these positions.

In accordance with Article XII, Section G, Subsection 2 of the bylaws, the conduct of the nominations and elections shall be supervised by the General Chairperson of the Election Committee (John Smoak Montgomery County Department of General Services). Montgomery County Collective Bargaining Agreement Effective July 1

Members are reminded that the new Collective Bargaining Agreement for Montgomery County Government employees will go into effect on July 1st. The new agreement is for two years.
Highlights of the agreement include:

A general wage adjustment
Service increments for employees not at top of grade
Wage scale enhancements
Increases in tool and shoe allowances
Use of recreation facilities and aquatic centers free of charge
Increases in tuition assistance

MC311 member activists met with Montgomery County Councilmember Nancy Navarro on April 20 to advocate for additional staff to be able to deliver the services that Montgomery County citizens deserve.

HOC Members Get New Safety Shoes

HOC members picked out new safety shoes from the Shoe Van. Under the new contract, the value of the shoe vouchers was increased and eligible employees receive shoe vouchers each year.
