The three unions representing County employees, the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 1664; the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 35; and, the United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 1994 (MCGEO), reached an agreement regarding COVID-19 hazard pay with the Montgomery County Executive. The three unions issued the following joint statement, “While this is a good start, we have a long way to go and many issues that still need to be addressed in order to ensure those employees who are on the front lines have what they need to protect themselves.”
