Mr. Renne is president of UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO and vice president of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, representing 1.3 million members in North America.

As president, Mr. Renne is responsible for negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements on behalf of 10,000 Local 1994 members with the Montgomery County Government and more than five other employers throughout Maryland. He also serves on the executive boards of various labor and political organizations, as well as serving as the vice chair of the Montgomery County Board of Investment Trustees. Mr. Renne holds a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Lisa Blackwell-Brown has her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Dayton, and her law degree from Widener University School of Law (J.D). She also graduated from Wayne State University with a LL. M. in Labor and Employment Law. Before coming to work full time at UFCW Local 1994, she worked at Legal Aid in Baltimore, representing abused and neglected children.

Ms. Blackwell-Brown lived in Quito, Ecuador for four years teaching English to attorneys and honing her Spanish-speaking skills, becoming fluent.

She returned to work at Local 1994 in 2013 after having interned over her summers prior to law school.

Currently, she is the Secretary-Treasurer for the Local and the field representative for public safety, which includes Sheriffs, Cumberland City Police and the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. She served as Recorder from December 2020 until her election as Secretary-Treasurer in September 2021.

Lisa graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice in 2008. She worked in the judicial system after graduating until she switched careers in July 2015 when she joined the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) as a Deputy Sheriff. It was in the Sheriff’s Office that she was introduced to Local 1994 MCGEO and quickly became a shop steward. She advocated for her colleagues and fellow MCGEO brothers and sisters. In November 2021, Lisa joined the staff of Local 1994 MCGEO. She currently serves the role of Deputy Sheriff for the MCSO and Recorder and Field Services Representative for MCGEO.
