PGCMLS mediation originally scheduled for today (Tuesday) has been rescheduled to tomorrow at the request of management.

We will keep members informed as soon as the mediation concludes and more information is available.

UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO extends a huge thank you to our members from Montgomery County DGS & Urban District and Department of Transportation; M-NCPPC Facility Operations (Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties); PGCMLS Central Maintenance Buildings & Grounds; and Laurel City DPW who battled severe storm conditions to keep our communities running.

We also thank all of our essential workers—including those in public safety and public health—who left the warmth of their homes to keep our communities safe, cared for, and connected.

You reported for duty in dangerous conditions, worked long hours, and pushed through freezing temperatures to keep roads passable, facilities operating, and public services accessible. While others stayed home, union members showed up—and your dedication made a real difference when it mattered most.

This is union strength in action. This is solidarity under pressure. This is skilled public service done right.

We see you. We stand with you. And we’re proud of you. Below are a few photos of our members at work—thank you.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Milton Perry and Mansfield Jones, both retired Ride-On Bus Coordinators from the Silver Spring Depot, who passed away just one day apart.

During their years of service, Milton and Mansfield played important roles in supporting daily operations and helping ensure dependable public transportation for our community. They were known as dedicated professionals who took pride in their work and cared deeply about the people they served. Even after retirement, their contributions and commitment remained part of the Ride-On legacy.

Their passing is a profound loss for the Ride-On family. Milton and Mansfield will be remembered for their integrity, reliability, and the lasting impact they made on coworkers and passengers alike.

We extend our sincere condolences to their families, friends, and former colleagues during this difficult time.
