Charles County Public Library Employees Reach Tentative Agreement
After a year of negotiations and, finally, mediation, Charles County Public Library employees have reached a tentative agreement on their first contract.
Informational/ratification meetings will be held virtually next week, giving members an opportunity to review the agreement and ask questions before voting. Voting will be conducted during the virtual meetings. Members unable to attend a meeting will still be able to vote via electronic voting.
Members should watch for additional information about meeting times, voting instructions, and access to the tentative agreement.
PGCMLS MEMBERS RATIFY NEW AGREEMENT
Congratulations to our PGCMLS members, who voted to ratify their new collective bargaining agreement!
This agreement is the result of members standing together to win improvements to wages, benefits, and working conditions. Thank you to everyone who participated in the negotiations and ratification process.

As a new school year gets underway, we’re excited to welcome back our 10-month employee members in Montgomery and Anne Arundel counties!
That includes our Crossing Guards, School Health employees, and school bus drivers and aides—the dedicated workers who help keep students safe, healthy, and on the move every school day.
From getting students to and from school safely, to helping children cross busy streets, to providing essential health services, your work is an important part of our communities and our public schools.
