Stand With Union Members Impacted by the Spokane Complex Fire
Union solidarity means standing together when our brothers and sisters need us most.
The Spokane Complex Fire is devastating communities across eastern Washington. More than 700 structures have been lost, approximately 65,000 people have been forced to evacuate, and the fires are still burning.
Among those affected are union members and their families who have lost their homes, been displaced, or are facing tremendous uncertainty about what comes next.
As union members, we know that we don’t leave each other behind. That’s why MCGEO is sharing an opportunity to support our union family in Washington.
The Washington State Labor Council’s Foundation for Working Families provides direct financial assistance to union members and their families as they recover from disasters like this.
If you are able, please consider making a contribution. Even a small donation can help a union family begin to recover and rebuild.
Checks can be mailed to: Foundation for Working Families 321 16th Ave. S. Seattle, WA 98144
Resources for Those Impacted
The Spokane Regional Labor Council has also put together a resource page for people affected by the fires, including evacuation information, shelters, recovery assistance and other available services.
If you know someone who has been affected, please share these resources with them.
No union member should have to face a disaster like this alone.
When working people are in crisis, we show up for one another. That’s what being part of a union family means.
Thank you for standing in solidarity with our union brothers, sisters and siblings in Washington.
