On April 11, 2018, HHS bargaining unit member Melissa Ferguson asked management if she would be able to receive Administrative Leave for attendance at a training to become an election worker for the County. Later on that day, Management responded in the affirmative to this request. On May 4th, 2018, Management then rescinded this decision, and made Ms. Ferguson use four hours of her Annual Leave to attend this training. On July 12, the County reversed its decision, and agreed to compensate Ms. Ferguson with four hours of Administrative Leave, rather than Annual Leave, for this training.
