Despite your union’s best efforts the council voted unanimously to send all of the us, fire fighters, police and school board unions back to the bargaining table. The parties must come to an agreement by May 10.
The Montgomery County Council's Government Operations and Fiscal Policy Committee, (GO Committee) will be holding a hearing on our FY 17 collective bargaining agreement on Thursday, April 21st @ 9:30a.m. (arrive by 9a.m.) in the Council Office Building (COB).
During our recent visits with councilmembers, we learned that the council is planning to vote against our new agreement. A strong presence at the GO Committee hearing could help us change their minds. It is urgent that you come!
