SUBJECT: Ratification of the FY 2012 Wage Reopener

 

We are pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached with the HOC regarding the FY 2012 Wage Reopener as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. A copy of the tentative agreement can be found on the reverse of this memorandum.

 

lt is extremely important that we have a significant percentage of the membership participate in the ratification process. We have scheduled four polling locations and two meetings where the Union will answer any questions prior to you casting your vote to accept or reject the tentative agreement. You must be an active member of the union to be eligible to vote however you may complete the application at a polling location.

 

You will be provided Administrative Leave to attend a meeting and/or cast your vote. I would respectfully request that you attend the meeting that is closest to your work location. Although the times may vary, these polling locations were scheduled in an attempt to ensure the highest attendance as possible. Please notify your supervisor of your intent to attend a meeting andlor vote and receive authorization to do so prior to leaving your work area. In those locations were a meeting has not been scheduled, there will be Union representatives and bargaining team members available to answer any questions you may have. All polling will all occur on THURSDAY MAY 24 2012 at the following locations and times. Meeting times are also designated in bold type.

 

Silver Spring Service Center	9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Kensington Office Building	11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meeting in the Gymnasium at 11 a.m.
Gaithersburg Service Center	2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
East Deer Park	3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Meeting in the upstairs conference room at 3:30 p.m.
